Exploring cultures and communities – the slow way

A look ahead at hidden europe 33 which will be published on 15 March 2011.

article summary —

The spring 2011 issue of hidden europe will be published on the Ides of March. With Easter so late next year, Lent will scarcely have started, but we shall evoke an appropriately Lenten penitential mood with an article on the enclos paroissiaux (parish closes) of Brittany. A close encounter with the Grim Reaper is strongly conducive to repentance. On a lighter note we’ll take time out on a small Danish island and visit a little Utopia in the English Midlands. In addition, we shall introduce a new book that celebrates fifty rail routes across Europe that between them map the sheer variety of our continent. If 15 March still seems a long time hence, why not sign up on our website at www.hiddeneurope.co.uk to receive our regular newsletter? It is published about thrice monthly and costs not one cent. To all our readers, a very happy Christmas and New Year.
