A new edition of a map published by the European Union prompts us to reflect on what might make a good map of Europe.
To mark Europe Day on 9 May, the European Union is releasing a new edition of its wall map of Europe, with a large format classroom edition that will surely find its way into schools across the continent. Indeed, in some countries (such as the United Kingdom) copies of the map are being made available free to all schools.
