Tangier for the day

by hidden europe

Summary

by catamaran across the Straits of Gibraltar to North Africa

Ferrys Rápidos del Sur (FRS) has improved its Tarifa to Tangier catamaran service, now making it even easier to include a day trip to Morocco as part of a stay in the windsurfing capital of Andalucía at Tarifa. FRS has taken a lease on a second wave piercing catamaran. Named Tarifa Jet, the new vessel joins the Tangier Jet on the Tarifa to Tangier service, which zips across the Straits of Gibraltar in less than forty minutes. For the 2005 summer schedule expect five return services daily on this booming route. FRS has other routes, less geared to the tourist market, such as the Friday crossings.
